Busy Bee uses the most environmentally friendly roasting technique to produce the best coffee beans. We significantly decreased our carbon emissions when roasting coffee without using smoke.

About the coffee bean process:

Our coffee is cultivated in Brazil’s highlands. Most Brazilian coffees are naturally pulped or unwashed (semi-washed). After the coffee cherries have been picked, they are dried without removing the peel or mucilage.

So why is this important? Natural processing may offer coffee a lot of body, sweetness, smoothness, and depth, but it is challenging without damaging the beans.

The weather in Brazil, characterized by little rain and abundant sunshine, is ideal for natural processing. Natural, dry-processed coffee is made in a unique technique that requires the trees to be nourished with water past the point at which the cherries are fully mature. This procedure takes twice as long since the fruit must mature, turn color, and dry on the branch. This process is one of the most unusual and challenging ways to make coffee, but the result is delicious and full of life.

Brazilian Dark Roast Single Origin
